OAE St John Passion – Bozar, Brussels

Traditions are there to be upheld, and Easter signals a passion of Bach. This season, it is the turn of the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment to do complete justice to the St John Passion.  Undertaking a huge challenge, Mark Padmore will not only be leading the orchestra, but also taking on the role of the evangelist. With Bach’s haunting recitatives, devout choruses and expressive arias, Mark Padmore promises to deliver an intimate yet stirring reading of the power of the Messiah. ​​​​​​
