Imagine it’s 1723 and Bach has just arrived in Leipzig to the world-renowned and best-appointed Kaffehaus (coffee house), drinking coffee at small, intimate tables and listening to the music of Georg Philipp Telemann and Johann Sebastian Bach. We are set to recreate Café Zimmermann “in the round” just as it would have been back in 1723, in the glorious setting of the Cathedral of the Cotswolds – Northleach Church. It will be an intimate-lit evening with tables and chairs set around two harpsichords that will be placed in the middle of the Church. Welcome to Cafe Zimmermann 2021-style!
